Andy is a landscape architect with over 14 years chartered experience working in Landscape Architecture, Design and Planning.
He has key project experience relating to the development of Renewable Energy schemes for Wind, Solar and Hydro; Urban and Rural Regeneration projects; Housing; Highways; Mixed Use Development; Water Management; Flood Alleviation; Mineral Extraction; Education and Landscape Restoration.
Since 2008 he has worked as an independent consultant, providing landscape architecture services to a range of clients in the public and private sectors within England, Wales and Scotland.
Andy is specialised in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, using structured assessment techniques to understand what makes an area or place distinct. This helps to inform decisions for integrating major infrastructure projects within the landscape; to ensure that development is well situated, designed and sensitive to its location.
This has been applied to areas of landscape, townscape and seascape across the UK.
